Lake Orta or Cusio is a pre-alpine lake of glacial origin in Piedmont, situated between the provinces of Novara and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. Very small in size, lying in the centre of the lake, is San Giulio Island, whose church is home to the remains of a saint with the same name. I especially troll for pike and trout. The landscape surrounding the lake is wonderful. Target fish: pike, trout, perch and zander.
