Lake Como or Il Lario is a natural lake of glacial origin situated entirely on Italian soil. It is the third largest lake in Italy and has a surface area of 145 km² and a maximum depth of 410 metres. It has several tributaries of which the most important are the Mera and the Adda. The latter is also the lake's only emissary. I fish in Basso or Alto Lario looking for pike and perch, and in summertime I fish for trout and salmon trout in deep water. Although fishing pressure is fairly high, the lake offers magnificent fish. Target fish: pike, zander, perch, trout and salmon trout.
